Kebbi Holds Unity Festival

Kebbi State government through the Ministry of Information and Culture has organised the first cultural festival  in  the state capital, Birnin Kebbi.

Speaking with journalists during the event yesterday, the commissioner for information and culture,  Yakubu Ahmed BK, said  the administration of Governor Nasir Idris would continue to promote culture and tradition to strengthen unity.

According to him, culture has a colossal potency for unity and social cohesion among diverse groups in society, as such, his administration will incorporate promotion of culture among its policy thrusts.

Yakubu BK added that Governor Nasir Idris  places premium on developing culture for social cohesion, unity and economic growth.

Among the cultural groups  which showcased   talents at the event are Fulani, Zabarmawa , Dakarkari, Kambarawa , Tiv, Igbo and Yoruba groups to the delight of the spectators.
