Residents of Yola, the Adamawa state capital trooped to the YEDC Operations office in Jimeta to protest the poor power supply and exorbitant bills, especially during the just concluded fasting period of Ramadan.
According to Malam Yahaya Abubakar who resides in anguwan shinko, he believes payment of 30,000 monthly is unjust especially when majority of the time no power is available.
Other residents complained that power is only available once a week while other days they are left in darkenss
As of the time of filing this report, no YEDC staff was on ground to respond however, security agencies are at the entrance of the building to restrain movement.
