Why US Court, CSU were shocked by Atiku’s request for Tinubu’s records

@VivaDido

I discovered that the constitutional requirements for Presidential candidates in the United States of America are just 3, here they are:

i)  Be a natural-born of the United States.
ii) Be at least 35 years old
iii) Have been a resident of the US for 14years.

Anyone who meets these requirements can declare their candidacy for President.

I did research into the US Presidential election campaign period to know if they released their academic records to the public. I discovered that Obama did not release his certificate but his transcript was leaked, Trump did not release any, neither certificates nor transcripts.

The release of their academic records is not a legal requirements and each candidate has the discretion to decide which records to release.

Also I looked into the constitutional requirements for being considered as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom since they’re not directly elected. Here are 3 criteria  I found:

i) The candidate must be a member of Parliament, usually the House of Common

ii) Must be someone who has the confidence of the House of Commons. At a general election, it’s usually the leader of the party which has the most Members of Parliament. If the leader is ousted by their party, he must also step down as PM

iii) His party is usually the majority in the House of Commons. Though a minority or coalition can form, this is not the norm in the UK

After a general election which results in a majority government, the leader of that party will then formally be asked by the monarch to form a government, and then officially appointed to the position of a PM. He would be the PM and also the head of his party.
If he loses as the head of his party, he would automatically lose his position as the Prime Minister.

In the US and UK, I discovered that constitutionally, there are no educational qualifications to be the President of the US or the PM of the UK.

Now I understand why the US court and CSU were surprised about Atiku’s request for Tinubu’s academic records to help his case in the Supreme Court. It’s because they don’t rate it in their systems when considering their leaders.
