Vipers and KCCA must beat their opponents on match day ten or risk falling behind in the title race as the league match day ten concludes.
The Kasasiro, currently 3rd on the table with 18 points are now four points off the top and visit tricky newcomers Lugazi at Najjembe. They come into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat to new table leaders NEC and understand the importance of bouncing back from such a defeat.
Lugazi are unbeaten in the last five matches and yet to concede in the last four in succession. Derrick Nsibambi, Julius Poloto and Gabi could return for the visitors after missing the last couple of matches through injury.
The hosts are expected to line up Richard Ayiko against his former bosses but Rogers Atube misses out through injury. This will be the first competitive meeting between the two sides.
Later in the day, Vipers host Kitara in a highly anticipated clash. The on-form Venoms are on a run of eight matches without defeat after that shock 3-1 opening day loss to NEC.
They will be looking to extend their winning run against the Royals who are yet to pick a point in the last four topflight meetings. A win for John Ayala’s side will take them back to the summit regardless of what KCCA do at Lugazi.
Kitara come into the game confident after overcoming UPDF 4-0 to pick their first win in seven matches.
