The lawmaker representing Bauchi Central, Senator Abdul Ningi, has resumed his legislative duties in the upper chamber after a three-month suspension.
He was suspended in March over budget padding claims.
The Senate officially reinstated Ningi on May 28, 2024, following a resolution passed during a plenary session.
Upon his return on Tuesday in plenary, Senator Ningi took the floor to commend the Senate leadership.
President of the Senate, Goodswill Akpabio while welcoming Senator Ningi back, emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration.
Ningi was recalled some two weeks to the end of his three-month suspension which is supposed to terminate on June 12, 2024.
