The presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the February 25 election, Peter Obi was inside the stadium for the quarterfinal match between Nigeria and Angola at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

Peter Obi was spotted wearing the traditional green and white jersey of the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

He cheered and danced along with fans in the stadium and is now the talk of the town on social media, with many netizens praising him for being patriotic.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles secured their place in the Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals by defeating Angola 1-0.

Ademola Lookman, the standout performer, scored in the 41st minute after a connection with a cross from Moses Simon.
Despite VAR disallowing Osimhen’s goal for offside, Nigeria’s defence remained solid, keeping four clean sheets in a row.
