VIDEO: OKUAMA KILLINGS- Military issues Strong warning to Nigerians

The high Command of the Nigerian Military has warned Nigerians not to allow the incident that occurred in Delta State that led to the killing of 17 soldiers to ever happen again.

Director, Defence Media Operations (DMO), Major General Edward Buba who gave the warning during a bi-weekly press briefing in Abuja explained that Prior to the ugly incident, the military had constructed several civic projects in Delta State as a sign of good will, as according to General Buba, the armed forces is a force for stability that employs both kinetic and non knowledge netic measures to achieve the desired end state.

While displaying the the banner of eight wanted persons involved in the killing including a woman, he called on the elders and community leaders of Delta State to expose these wanted persons.

The slain soldiers were buried on March 27, 2024

On the recent rescue of the 16 and 17 hostages in Sokoto and Kaduna States, Buba noted that the rescue operations was based on collaboration between the military working with local authorities and government agencies across the country, in a coordinated approach, he however, urged citizens to remember that they are their first line of intelligence.

Meanwhile, during the week under review, he said that Troops neutralised 212 and arrested 252 persons,. He said Troops also arrested 29 perpetrators of oil theft and rescued 244 kidnapped hostages.
