VIDEO: NEDC to complete all projects in Adamawa by year-end

The Managing Director of the Northeast Development Commission (NEDC), Mohammed Goni Alkali, has reaffirmed his commitment to complete and commission all ongoing projects in Adamawa State before the end of the year. Alkali made this statement during an inspection tour of completed and ongoing projects across the state’s three senatorial districts of the Northeast Nigerian state.

Accompanied by the NEDC management team, Alkali visited various sites to assess the progress and quality of the projects. He expressed satisfaction with the advancements made on the 500-unit mass housing project in Yola South and the Accident and Emergency Unit at Modibbo Adama University Teaching Hospital, Yola.
During the tour, the team inspected mega schools under construction in Song, Mubi, and Guyuk local government areas, representing each of the three senatorial districts of Adamawa State. Additionally, they evaluated the 2.5km access road at the College of Education in Hong and 40 housing units for the college’s staff, which are aimed at creating a conducive learning environment.
The inspection also covered the 32km Garkida-Dabna road project, various water projects across the state, and ongoing bridge constructions at Kudzum, Mayo Ngayadi, and Dilchim. Alkali assured that the commission would address the collapsed bridge along the Madagali-Waga road, which connects Adamawa and Borno States.
Alkali emphasized the NEDC’s dedication to enhancing the lives of people in the northeast through impactful projects.
