The Armed Forces of Nigeria envisages shortage of food across the country in a near future, following the incessant attacks by armed bandits and fulani herdsmen on farmers across Nigeria.

Director Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba who made the disclosure during the second quarterly briefing on the operations of the military across all theatres explained that the Nigerian Military will not allow any act that will lead to food shortage in the country.

On the second quarter of this year, General Buba noted that troops neutralized 2,245 terrorists, arrested 3,682 suspected terrorists and other criminal elements as well as rescued 1,993 kidnapped hostages, as according him, troops recovered 2,783 weapons, 64,547 ammunitions and denied the oil theft of an estimated sum over N10 bn (N10,533,131,470.00) only.

 

While calling on the citizens to imbibe the culture of SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING, General Buba assured that the military will do everything within the bounds of the law to make the Nation safe for citizens as the the military will keep up with the fighting spirit and maintain the stamina in the front lines.
