VIDEO: Another building crumbles in Lagos Island

Fear and confusion gripped Lagos on Thursday following the collapse of a two-storey building.

The structure, located on Oga Idunganran Street in the Isale Eko area, reportedly has many people trapped inside.

A rescue operation is currently ongoing to save victims trapped in a two-storey building which collapsed at number 15, Iga Idungaran, close to Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akiolu’s palace, Lagos Island.

According to eyewitnesses, the unfortunate incident occurred at about 11 am, on Thursday.

According to reports, many people were trapped in the building.

Men of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, LASEMA, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, and Nigeria Police, among other emergency responders, were on the ground searching for survivors.

Last Sunday, a Mosque collapsed at Yusuf Street, Papa Ajao, Mushin area of the state.
