UNICEF Distributes Tablets, Internet Facilities To Adamawa Schools (Video)- By Ibrahim Abubakar, Yola

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Bauchi field office has distributed 210 IPAD Tablets, 10 projectors and internet facilities to public schools and the America University of Nigeria (AUN) in Adamawa State, North East Nigeria.

Bauchi field officer, Abdulrahman Ibrahim said the Nigerian Learning Passport signifies a paradigm shift, where the power of technology and knowledge converge to create an environment that fosters growth, innovation, and equal opportunities for all.

The Commissioner of Education and Human Capital Development Wilbina Jackson, appreciated the contribution of UNICEF and other partners for contributing to improve access to quality education in the state.

In his remarks, Dr Salihi Ateque, Executive Chairman, Adamawa State Universal Basic Education (ADSUBEB) assured that the equipment would be judiciously used.

He also assured of intensive monitoring towards achieving the desired results for quality education.

Joel Jutum, UNICEF’s Education Specialist also spoke during the official launching of Nigeria Learning Passport (NLP) in Yola.

Jutum said, the NLP is an innovative project using digital technology to deliver interactive and engaging learning experiences to children in rural areas and ensuring that they have access to the same quality education as their peers in urban areas.

He said the launching is a journey that will shape the future of education in the state.
