Sanwo-olu takes over medical care of boy with missing intestine

Helping hands have come the way of Adebola Akin-Bright, the 13-year-old boy, whose small intestine was allegedly missing after a surgery at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja.

Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos State Governor, has taken over the medical care of the boy.

The governor made the promise on Sunday when he paid an unscheduled visit to Adebola and his mother, Mrs. Deborah Abiodun at the Pediatric Ward of LASUTH.

In a viral video message via social media, Deborah Abiodun had reached out to Governor Sanwo-Olu to investigate the disappearance of her 13-year-old son’s small intestine.

She said the incident occurred while her son was receiving treatment at LASUTH.

But the management of LASUTH denied the allegations. They said that they did not remove any organ or structure from Debola’s body while performing a corrective surgery. They said the boy had been previously operated on at a private hospital in Lagos.

Adebola’s mother thanked Governor Sanwo-Olu for visiting and taking up the medical care of her child.
