Benue State Governorship Candidate under the umbrella of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) Engr. Levi Icheen has identified disunity as the root cause of insecurity in the State.
Engr. Icheen who made the disclosure while receiving his Certificate of Return at the party headquarters in Abuja said his administion will first prioritize unity amongst the Benue people at the state level in order to overcome the challenges of insecurity in the State, if he becomes the next governor of the State.
The governorship candidate said his administion will create an enabling environment for everyone in the State by engaging them with vocational activities for those engaged by the politicians to commit crimes and can not afford formal education, as according to him, it will lift so many people from the street and will enable them tackle what he described as internal and external security faced by the State
Earlier, the National Secretary of the party, Comrade, Babatunde Alli, after handing over the Certificate of Return to the Candidate, tasked him not to make life difficult for the people as it has been with other administrations in the state.
Benue State is one of the states faced with security challenges.
