Police parades UNIPORT student for killing girlfriend

The Rivers state police command has paraded a 24 year old man Demain Okoligwe for the alleged murder and harvesting of organ of his girl friend, Justina Otuene aged 20 years old. Justina was a student of Biochemistry 300-level of University of Port Harcourt.

Commissioner of Police in Rivers state, CP Emeka Nwonyi briefed journalists at the police headquarters, Moscow in Port Harcourt.

He said On Wednesday, 25/10/23 at about 1530hrs, operatives of Ozuoba Division received a complaint from a good Samaritan and neighbour name withheld from Road 20, back of NTA.

A fellow tenant perceived a very bad odour and immediately rushed to the police station, where the DPO led detectives to the scene.

He said that the suspect killed the deceased and dismembered her body.

Meanwhile, the suspect, Demian Okoligwe in an interview denied killing the deceased Justina Nkang.

The Police boss in the state said Preliminary investigation is in progress and the case has been transferred to SCID for discreet investigation.

He advised young ladies to be cautious and careful about the person they are involved with in any form of relationship.
