Osayi-Samuel Sent Off In Fenerbahce Win Over Union St Gillaloise

Super Eagles and Fenerbahce defender Bright Osayi-Samuel, had conflicting emotions during Thursday’s UEFA Europa League match against Union St Gillaloise.

The Nigerian international made a comeback to the field following nearly three weeks away from the game due to injury.

He was substituted in the 65th minute after starting the match on the bench.

A Soyunchu goal and a regrettable own goal by Burges had put Fenerbahce ahead before Osayi-Samuel was introduced.

The game ended 2-1 in favour of the hosts, and in the 87th minute, he was given his first caution for time wasting.

A foul in the 93rd minute resulted in his dismissal.
