A grand dinner to mark the 81st birthday of the Alake and paramount ruler of Egbaland, His Royal Majesty Kabiyesi Oba Michael Aremu Gbadebo Okukenu IV was held in London a few days ago. At the event was His Royal Majesty, Kabiyesi Oshile of Oke-Ona-Egba, Oba Dr. Adedapo Adewale Tejuoso, Karunwi III. The dinner showcased the amity, respect and affinity between the two revered monarchs.
Among other distinguished guests at the event were Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola, and his spouse, Dr. (Mrs) Saliat Bolanle Isola, Olori Alake, Dr. Tokunbo Gbadebo, Oloris Molara, Yetunde, and Labisi Tejuoso of Osile of Oke-Ona Egba.
Also at the event were Odofin of Egba, High Chief Adebayo Oyemade, Onimoero of Egbaland, Engr. Tokunbo Odebunmi, Aare Baasegun of Egbaland, Chief Odulate and his spouse, Erelu Odulate, General Akinwunmi (rtd), Bosoye Tejuoso, the Popoolas of Oke Ona -Egba and Oke-Ona High Chiefs.
Ambassador Tunji Isola, the Tayese of Egbaland, in his remarks, praised Oba Gbadebo’s exemplary leadership and contributions to Egbaland.
