A coalition of groups from the Northern parts of Nigeria, North Eastern Youth Support Groups for APC, has advised critical stakeholders in the party to shun sentiment and work toward the emergence of a competent and credible Senate President.
They said the desired Senate President is one that would help the President Elect to take the nation to the promised land.
Addressing a press conference in Yola, the Adamawa state capital, the group leader Barrister Yakubu Bello called on the All Progressives Congress, APC leadership to carry along the Northwest region considering the huge votes given to the president elect, Bola Tinubu.
He also canvassed support for Senator Barau Jibrin as next Senate President based on his track record.
He added that the decision of the party will be final if the post is zoned to another region of the country.
