Nigerian women protest over mass killings

The repeated killings and abductions of their husbands and sons by opposition groups in their community has pushed over 100 Nigerian women to come out into the streets for a protest.

The women are from the Ogwuaniocha community in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State.
They marched round the commercial city of Onitsha and its sorounding communities to protest against the killings.

The women, waved placards with different inscriptions marching round the community. They claimed that the crisis in their community started as a result of kingship tussle.

They want the state governor, Chukwuma Soludo to swing into action and come to their aid.
