Stray Bullet Victim Is Alive, Gov Abiodun Says, Calls For Calm (Video)

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has visited the victim of a stray bullet of Police, Michael Gabriel at the hospital, following a violent protest by residents of the State.

Abiodun in company of the State health team visited the Intensive Care Unit of the Federal Medical Center, FMC, Idi-Aba where the victim is receiving treatment.

Speaking to newsmen after the visit, the Governor said the victim was hit by police bullet in the arm in process of dispersing angry protesters who wanted to burn public facilities.

He disclosed that the victim is alive and stable and therefore called for calm, stressing that the government will ensure that the hardships currently witnessed by Nigerians is given urgent attention.

The Medical Director of the hospital, Adewale Musa – Olomu while speaking, said the hospital did all their possible best to ensure the victim was saved.

The victim’s wife, Taiwo Michael, thanked the governor and the management of their timely response in saving her husband.
