Hama Bachama and the Bachama Traditional Council mourn late EFCC boss Ibrahim Lamorde

His Royal Majesty Homun Dr. Daniel Shaga Ismaila, CON, Kpawo Nomwe, Gilongo Diya, Hama Bachama and the Bachama Traditional Council received with deep pains the sad news of the demise of former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Malam Ibrahim Lamorde

The Monarch in a statement described Lamorde as a competent, highly resourceful, respected, and accomplished anti Corruption Crusader. Lamurde was an uncompromising and trustworthy Police Officer who served Nigeria diligently and remained steadfast towards the stability and economic development of Nigeria. He envisaged a Corruption-free nation on which basis he established his principle both in and out of office.

The statement noted that as a Nigerian saddled with the onerous responsibility of waging war against corruption nationwide, DIG Ibrahim Lamorde brought to bear on his job the array of detective trainings and experiences, and played a critical role towards rescuing Nigeria from the grip of the cancer called corruption.

It added that Mallam Ibrahim Lamorde was a global citizen and his demise remains a huge loss to the nation and to humanity at large. His legacies will live on and continue to speak for him as well as impact lives for many more years to come.

The Bachama Traditional Council commiserates with the Lamorde family, the Mubi Emirate Council the government and people of Adamawa State, and prayed God to grant him eternal rest.

Malam Ibrahim Lamorde was Chairman of the EFCC between November 23rd 2011 and November 9th 2015. He was preceded by Mrs Farida Waziri and succeeded by Ibrahim Magu.
