Gunmen in the early hours of Thursday invaded Onicha-Igboeze and Isu, in Ebonyi state, Southeast Nigeria killing seven persons.
It was gathered that among those killed were two lawyers and five other civilians.
As of the time of filing this report, efforts to get the reaction of the Ebonyi State Police proved abortive.
Governor David Nweze Umahi had on Wednesday warned that Ebonyi State will not tolerate further killings.
Umahi further threatened to go after “the parents of the miscreants”.
