Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, Northwest Nigeria met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday.
He was accompanied by Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs in Kaduna.
Out of respect, the governor went on his knees before the president. This has stirred conversations.
Even though El-Rufai is very rich and popular, he knows how to show respect to people who are older, and above him in politics.
It gladdens the hearts of many to see top and prominent men in the society, kneeling down and showing respect to people.
Some are the view that this serves as a lesson to everyone, and it shows that money or power should not make you proud and pompous.
