Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has further reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring free and quality education in primary and post-primary schools in the state.

Governor Fintiri made the commitment during the inauguration of a scholarship scheme for 40 students admitted into federal government colleges and an empowerment project for 360 elders, youths, and women sponsored by Song Local Government Area.

He said the government had taken off the shoulders of parents the responsibility of paying NECO and WAEC fees for them to acquire formal education.

Represented by his deputy, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, the governor said children, especially girls, should be allowed to complete school before getting married.
