Girl Child Day: NGO trains over 100 teenage Girls in tailoring

The 2023 International Day of the Girl Child is being celebrated across the world.

The Action Health Incorporated with support from USAID and UNFPA is commemorating the international Girl Child day.

It has empowered over 100 teenage girls at Daware IDPs Camp at Fufore LGA in Adamawa State with the theme ” Invest in Girls Rights, Our Leadership, Our Well Being 2023″

Speaking at the celebration, the Head Internally Displaced Person’s, IDPs Camp, Umar Bappa commended the organization. He stated that the community has taken another look based on the appearance of the organization.

The traditional ruler, Ardo of Daware, Umaru Bobbo who was represented by Ezra Christopher appreciated Action health incorporated for their work. He Stated that the organization has come to equip their teenagers and make them self reliant.

The young teenage girls responded by appreciating the organization.

According to the girls they have been taught personal hygiene and also their self confidence has been boosted. “We can stand on our own, study and use the trade we have learnt to build our future”
