Galaxy Backbone Provides Internet Conectivity For E-Health Service Delivery In Federal Teaching Hospitals (Video)

Galaxy Backbone Ltd of Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy has provided internet connectivity for e-health services at Federal Teaching Hospital (FTH), Gombe and Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBU), Bauchi.

Aliyu Musa, Galaxy’s Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, disclosed this at the 101st regular meeting of Chief Medical Directors and Managing Directors of Federal Tertiary Hospitals in Nigeria on Thursday in Yola, Adamawa State.

One of the pillars of National Digital Economy Policy & Strategy (NDEPS 2020 – 2030) is a delopment of digital infrastructure. The NDEPS has been developed in line with the Presidential directives given to the Honorable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, on assumption of Office.

The directive say the new service will guarantee efficiency in healthcare service delivery and facilitate easy payment and data security for patients and hospitals.

According to him, the service will ensure patients spend less time at the hospital, provide easy access to patient records during emergencies from any location, and facilitate virtual consultation, among others.

Prof. Jibrin Yusuf, CMD of ATBUTH, Bauchi confirmed that their service has been optimised with speed and connectivity as a result of effective services by Galaxy Backbone.
