Edo election: INEC presents certificates of return to Okpebholo, deputy



Okpebholo defeated 17 other candidates to win the Saturday, 21 September 2024 Edo governorship election. According to the results declared by INEC’s returning officer, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, the APC candidate secured 291,667 votes to defeat his his closest rival, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 247,274 votes. Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party (LP) came third in the election with 22,763 votes.
