The Malawi U17 Girls’ National team captured during their training session at Mpira Stadium in Blantyre.
The team is preparing for the COSAFA U17 Girls’ Championship which will take place between 4th and 13th December.
Meanwhile, Football Association of Malawi President Fleetwood Haiya held a meeting with the President of the Federation Royale Marocaine de Football , Fouzi Lekjaa, who is also a FIFA Council Member and the Minister Delegate for the Budget in the Kingdom of Morocco.
The two nations are set to formalize a memorandum of understanding aimed at promoting football development. This collaboration will include opportunities for Malawi’s national football teams to play friendly matches with Morocco, as well as capacity-building initiatives for referees, coaches, and football administrators.
Expressing his excitement, Haiya stated, “I’m very happy with the discussions we had with President Lekjaa. This partnership will significantly support our vision of transforming the game in Malawi. Morocco is excelling in football on the continent, and there is so much we can learn from their success.”
During his visit, President Haiya also met with Kennedy Lweya, Malawi’s Charge d’Affaires e.p of the Kingdom of Morocco, at the Embassy. Their discussions focused on enhancing the friendship and cooperation between the two nations, using football as a key platform for deeper collaboration
