“Come back home” – Tinubu to Nigerians in diaspora

President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians living abroad to shift their mindset towards success and consider returning to Nigeria to settle down.

 

The president made this appeal during a presidential town hall meeting with Nigerians in New York, United States.

 

The event, organized by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), took place on the sidelines of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly.

 

Tinubu stated the need for a change in mindset and urged Nigerians to embrace the abundant business opportunities available in the country.

 

The president also urged the Nigerians to embrace one another, stating that there should not be any sentiment or discrimination among them.

The President expressed delight in the conduct of Nigerians who have continued to excel in their chosen fields in their host country.

 

The town hall meeting was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Yusuf Tuggar; the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola; and the Permanent Representative of Nigeria to the UN, Amb.Tijjani Muhammad-Bande.

 

Others were: Gov. Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom; Gov. Uba Sani of Kaduna State; and Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq of Kwara, among others.
