Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I Jibrin, has commiserated with the Governor of Akwa State, Pastor Umo Eno, over the death of his wife, Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, on Thursday.
In a condolence message issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, Senator Barau, described the passing of the governor’s wife as a loss not only to the people of Akwa Ibom State but the nation in general, given her immense contributions to the cause of humanity.
“Our prayers are with His Excellency and other members of the family at this challenging period. She would be sorely missed as a confidant, comforter and mother who has steadfastly kept the home front going and supported her husband. Her legacy and impact on the lives of women, children and vulnerable people in Akwa Ibom State would remain indelible in the minds of all,” he said.
He prayed that God grant the soul of Mrs Eno eternal repose and endow the husband, the family and the people of Akwa Ibom State she left behind with the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
