Armed Forces Remembrance Day in Adamawa

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to support the armed forces and families of fallen heroes during the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

Governor Fintiri, represented by Deputy Professor Keletapwa George Farauta, laid wreaths at Mahmud Ribadu Square Yola, honouring the sacrifices made for peace and unity in Nigeria. The event included inspection of the guard of honor, wreath-laying by dignitaries, and attendance by serving, retired soldiers, and widows of fallen personnel.

 

Governor Fintiri urged continued prayer and support for the nation, emphasizing assistance to widows of fallen heroes. He commended the bravery of the armed forces and pledged ongoing support for their effectiveness. The day, commemorating Nigeria’s servicemen and veterans, featured special prayers, a three-gun salute, and the release of Doves symbolizing peace.
