Adamawa State Bans Okada

The Adamawa State Government in Northeast Nigeria has issued the restriction of movement of motorcycles executive order.

The government said this is owing to the high rate of threat posed to the security and stability across the State. 

The affected locations include Mbamba, Yolde Pate and Ngurore communities of Yola South Local Government.

The restriction order also affects Viniklang and Federal Housing Estate in Girei Local Government Area from 5pm to 5am.

The statement which was released on Tuesday by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou said the decision was taken to curb the growing activities of criminals disrupting the peace of the state.
