Uganda U17 Boys National Team has learned the teams they will be facing in the upcoming CAF U17 AFCON- CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers.
The draws were held live on FUFA Tv by CECAFA General Coordinator Jean Sseninde on Thursday.
The Cubs have been placed in Group A alongside Tanzania, Ethiopia and Burundi. The other Group (B) has defending Champions Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan and Kenya.
The tournament is scheduled to take place between 14th – 28th December 2024 at Hamz Nakivubo Stadium and St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende. The top two teams at the end of the group stage progress to the semifinals while the two teams that reach the final earn the tickets to playing at the final tournament.
The teams are expected to arrive in Uganda by December 9th to carry out the mandatory Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) tests.
