Enyimba International, Nigeria’s representative, stepped up their preparations for their forthcoming CAF Confederation Cup matchup with Egypt’s Al Masry.
Before heading to Egypt for the first group match, the team, led by coach Yemi Olarenwaju, arrived in Uyo so that the players could train on a grass pitch.
The coach gave an explanation of why the team has to practise on a grass ground before the important match.
” It’s been good; that’s why we came to Uyo to prepare for our continental match; we’re going to play on a grass pitch in Egypt”.
” Our ground in Aba is synthetic, and ball movement is quite different; that’s why we’re here; kudos to the management of Enyimba for bringing us here early so we can get used to the grass”, he said.
Enyimba, Zamalek, another Egyptian team, and Black Bulls, the Mozambican champions, are all in group D.
