Tottenham Hotspur delivered a masterclass in resilience and attacking prowess as they thumped Qarabag 3-0, despite playing with ten men from the 7th minute. The early sending-off of Dragusin for fouling the last player could have spelled trouble for the hosts, but Spurs rose to the challenge, resisting every attempt by Qarabag to exploit their numerical advantage.

Just five minutes after going a man down, Brennan Johnson opened the scoring for Spurs in the 12th minute, finishing a well-worked move to give the hosts an early lead. Qarabag pressed forward, hoping to capitalize on their extra man, but Spurs held firm, showing exceptional organization and discipline.

The second half saw Spurs continue to push forward. In the 52nd minute, Senegalese midfielder Pape Sarr doubled the lead with a composed finish, strengthening Tottenham’s control of the game. Qarabag struggled to break through Spurs’ defense, who, despite their disadvantage, kept the visitors at bay. Three minutes after Spurs goal the visitors were awarded a penalty which was wasted by Bayramov to maintain a clean sheet for Vicario.

Dominic Solanke sealed the game for Tottenham in the 68th minute, adding a third goal to ensure all three points stayed with the home side. Spurs’ tenacity and determination saw them comfortably dispatch Qarabag in what will be remembered as a statement victory.
